Have you ever asked yourself what summer tastes like? If you’d ask a Swede s/he would probably say it tastes a bit salty from surströmming (fermented herring) and smells of rotting corpse (for the same fishy reason as mentioned before). But there’s another aspect of Swedish summer, not spoken about as often… and it’s the fresh and fruity part. Munnen brewery (Munnens hembryggeri) therefore decided to shed light on this aspect and brewed some summer IPAs with Swedish summer fruits and berries. So, I guess it’s fair to call these IPAs the sweet chemistry of Swedish summer.
